I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Atlanta, Georgia. Counseling and psychotherapy feel like a true calling for me, as well as my life’s passion work. It is an honor to meet my clients where they are, validate their emotions and experiences, and create a safe space to do the hard, necessary work to create lasting healing from mental health disorders, addictions, and trauma.
My background as a therapist includes work in inpatient behavioral health hospital settings, outpatient mental health and addictions treatment facilities, as well as private practice. I hold a Master’s in Science of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. My experience includes individual, group, and family therapy. I also believe psychoeducation can be a useful tool and may occasionally incorporate it into our work.
I identify as a white cishet female (pronouns she/her/hers), an ally, and an advocate. While I may have different identities than some of my clients, it is my job to stand with you and understand your lived experience to the best of my ability. It is never your job to do the emotional labor to explain your lived experience to me and I continually work to acknowledge my privilege and advocate for equity for all people and populations.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and young son, reading a good (or occasionally just trashy) book, seeking out new information and learning opportunities, eating good food, practicing rest and self-care, and watching all of the sports. I am a die-hard Pittsburgh sports fan, Ravens fans need not apply. (I kid! Kind of…)
